Former US President Donald Trump has been indicted for storing classified documents in his home. This was announced by the politician himself on Thursday. The former president’s statement was confirmed by his lawyer, Alina Habba, on the Fox News evening program.

Trump announced on his social media site, Truth Social, that the administration had notified his lawyers that the indictment had taken place. He announced that he was summoned to appear in federal court in Miami on June 13.

“I am an innocent person,” wrote the politician, who complained that he was being charged while the authorities found 1,850 boxes of documents in the former offices and properties of President Joe Biden.

Joe Biden was asked at a press conference on Thursday about the ongoing investigation against Donald Trump and how the independence of the Department of Justice is guaranteed.

The president stated: the guarantee is that he never once told the people working in the ministry what to do or what not to do.

Donald Trump was already indicted in New York at the beginning of April in another case on suspicion of paying hush money and falsifying business data.
